If the 98 12v had them in I houldnt have had to put them in.

Napa sells a switch that will go on the shifter looks like a 2 speed axle switch push pull go to the Jacobs web and down load all the info I have it all in pdf files

I was searching for something else and found this thread and I am glad I did because I am thinking about making a 5" inline EB like pacbrake has. I was going to buy a double acting air cylinder from grainger

you need to use a single acting spring return cylinder look on ebay.

I can guarantee that the high temps will kill an air cylinder in no time.
Even the cylinders designed for exhaust brakes have problems at times.

I've worked on a few Pac-Brakes where Pac has provided free replacement cylinders.
Still have some of the old cylinders, you pay postage gets one for free. They don't have anything obviously wrong with them.
