It will not seal as well as it did and it will continue to relieve at less pressure as the PRV gets exercised. If you continue to relieve the valve there is potential for the valve to break down causing some contamination of the fuel system from the small pieces of metal that come off of the nose of the valve that holds the sealing puck in place. This is our observation.

I have stg 2 dr. p. and rail pressure gauge and I have seen 29,000psi. Wouldn't that be enough to pop it?
yes, that's more than enough to pop a healthy PRV

Any benefit to capping the rail as apposed to dual feeding threw that port? Any problems capping it with dual cp3s?
I believe capping get's the same result performance wise without the potential for a blown hose on the road which basically puts you on the curb

Thank you for the response Mr. Bear!!! Gives me something to think about.. I just have always been scared of having to much pressure with the dual pumps and nowhere for it to go if it needs too.

What torque spec did you tighten it to?

Were both the cap and the sealing surface clean when installed?

If the PRV is re-installed does it leak?

Call us if you have an issue, we will help diagnose your situation. Phone number is in signature
