Wally. Thanks for the PM. This may sound foolish, but was just a thought. Do you suggest mounting the Hushpower Pro where the old muffler used to be or where the old cat use to be? I didn't know what performance loss or drone control improvement you might see from mounting under the cab.

Do you think you can post or send me some sound clips, to hear what it sounds like?

Most all of our actual installs have been on trucks that have been straight piped or aftermarket exhaust that used a performance muffler. Every customer had a DRONE issue at highway speed, so our placement of the muffler varied depending on what our situation. The drone was gone and the noise in the cab was minimized by half.... But the truck still sounded ROCK SOLID.

Depending on the situation, you can put the muffler anywhere you can fit it.... we tend to put it near the OEM Muffler spot so we can take advantage of the hangers to support it. The muffler is not very heavy, but it is good practice to support it.

We don't have that technology to do computer sound bits, but Compcowboy was correct that there is a good clip on the Hushpower website.

Keep in mind, this muffler does not tame the exterior noise as much as it eliminates the cab noise.

Please PM a price for a 4" - '03 qc sb 4x4. Also include a price on the tail pipe from the muffler back if you have one.

Thanks

Stock exhaust can bring other issues than just inlet and outlet size, if the truck is equipped with CAT the inlet for the muffler is traditionally lower than the outlet. A Straight through muffler does not just slip into place.

Can you verify the set up you have?
