If you are racing, Pulling, or beating on your truck regularly this is not a complete solution..... Race Trucks need built transmissions.....

Most of our late model 48RE customers are claiming 2-3 mpg gain with our set up and a smarty...

Let us know if we can help you out.
Words of advise to add to this. Take some time and really think about how you'll treat the truck once you get some new found power..

Good point Bryan.... if your driving a stocker and she groans, you begin to back off and drive accordingly because you don't want to call for a ride home.

Once you get some good parts, she feels so good you drive her deep..... No more groaning now. But when you find the limit you just hear snap.

Knowing exactly what you want or will be doing with the truck will give me the ammunition to tell you what you NEED. It most likely will not be the dollar amount you want to always hear, but it will be the truth.

Bryan..... Correct me if I am wrong. We build you a stout street / towing trans cause you might hit the drag strip once a year and sled pull once at the local fair? Now that your tranny feels like heaven you have been to the track 5 times and Sled Pulled 3-4 times in less than 5 months.

Tranny is still holding.... but other parts are not.

PS: Bryan shopped hard for information before upgrading his stuff. Even though he bought a Street / Towing trans he stepped up and put a billet input, output, and flexplate on the list. This was due to the fact that he knew he was on an uphill climb for pure diesel enjoyment

40 Passes at the drag strip( All boosted launches), and 7 or 8 hooks...and yes other parts have broken before the tranny..that explains how a Dana 80 found its way under the rear of the truck..

I'm a complete AT n00b. I have no idea what I need. It's an 05 with a smarty. Mild towing, no racing, 33" Wrangler MT/R's, mild off-roading. 48k miles.

A nice tight converter and an HTS Valve body and maybe an input shaft and you should be good to go.
