I'm new to the diesel world. Just picked up the truck in my sig. I have about 6 months of warranty left, so I'm probably stuck w/ the dealer until then. After the warranty's up, I'd like to start going to a private party instead of the dealership. I like to support the local guys. If anyone here can point me in the direction of a good local mechanic that knows the Cummins engines well, I would appreciate it. Many thanks.

Best Cummins Shop in Front Range???

Hello Everyone,
I am looking for an honest, dependable, and fairly priced shop that either specializes in Cummins or at least sees a lot of them... Any ideas?

Just about to buy a '97, with 119K, with the somewhat infamous 47RE and want to have it checked out by someone familiar with them before I buy... Any help will be appreciated on a good tranny shop as well as the best independent cummins geared shop around.

Thanks a ton, and if I go with this rig I'll post pics soon!

Joe at ASFmachine and I are trying to get DieselPower to show up and do an article(s) at the Nov. 28th dyno meet in Grand Junction, CO. We are going to be having a first place award, and most likely podium awards as well. If everyone could email dieselpowermag's editor at this link: Contact Diesel Power Magazine (http://www.dieselpowermag.com/contactus/index.html) showing interest in having them show up, it will help a lot. This would also be a great time for anyone trying to get their truck in a magazine to show up and impress them :headbang::thumbsup::headbang::party018:

So my buddy finally told me he got a hunk of stack for me to make a new tip out of, went out last night to pick it up and it was a freaking 10" turnout...now i dont like turnout stacks and have been throwing around doing a single for sometime now, so we put it in the bed and the 10" was freakish big...wouldnt be so bad in a long bed but in my short bed it was way outta place, did get a 8" from him though, was screwed up up top so today i got it mitred down and just cleaning up my edges should have it in the truck this weekend, gonna sit just about cab height..

Seems like when i got rid of my sierra i a part of me died, lol and since i got the stack free, and the back of my mbrp is screwed up from the last that hit me, all its gonna cost is some flex pipe and a few clamps. worse case i'll have one big tip out the back
