Has anyone here run the Michelin LTX M/S in a 285? I have only seen these on trucks in a 265 or smaller. Curious as to how many miles you have gotten out of them as well. Thanks!

Posted this in 6.7 forum for some dumb reason, should have been here...

I've been searching and searching and all I've gotten accomplished is a nice headache.

I have an 06 2500 4x4 QCLB. It has a 3" skyjacker lift (longer springs and lower control arms up front, add-a-leaf in back) I had 315/70R17 Cooper Discoverer ATRs put on with the lift when truck was new. Wore them out at about 65,000 and put on 325/70R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. So far i like the tires when truck is unloaded, even though I don't think I'm going to get near the mileage out of them that I did with the Coopers. (Have about 10,000 on them now, probably less than 75% left) They ride OK with truck empty, a little noisy but bearable. Pulling a heavy trailer, I feel like a drunk. The sidewalls are just too soft for the weight. I know they are only D-rated but so were the ATRs and I never had an issue with them. They rub the control arms pretty bad but not the fenders at all. Soo, I want to switch to something else, probably back to the 315 ATRs or maybe even 285's since the truck will probably get a snowplow this fall.

I want to switch the 325 Terra Grapplers to my wife's truck since it needs new tires before winter. It's an 07 3500 SRW QCLB 4x4 Sport. Right now it's all stock. I think these tires will fit with just a leveling kit and stock rims? I know they will rub the control arms which I'm fine with. I just don't want rubbing on the fenders. Will I need longer control arms too or can I get away with just a 2" spacer? Her truck won't be hauling or towing very often if ever. Maybe the pop-up camper or small boat occasionally, but that's it, so I think these tires will be fine on her truck. I just need to make them fit and don't want to spring for a full 3or4" lift if I don't have to, plus I don't want it to be any taller than it needs to be.

Thoughts or experience? Thanks.
