I'm looking at an 06 qcsb 4x4. I'ts got a 6" lift, 35" tires, 20" wheels, full sound system, amp fold out steps, cowl hood, smarty, straight exhaust. It's a 6spd and has 82,000 miles. Very clean good looking truck, interior is 8/10, exterior is 9/10.

I talked him down to 24k with everything listed above. Do you guys think that's a good price? He was origionally asking 29,500. He's is wanting to get a 2010 dually new body style is the reason for selling. He's a friend of a friend and I was told the truck has been well taken care of. Is there anything on the 06 models I need to look out for?

Thanks!

I got a new fuel filter yesterday for a parking lot change at NAPA. They gave me they wrong filter. For whatever reason, the filter listed for the Laramie is different than the rest. I think 3385 is the correct one. Just ask for the filter for the older 24v and it will be correct. It has the lip that it snaps into.
$17.00 too.
I'm ordering Baldwin now.

Well guys, i'm getting a little upset... This is my 2nd Cummins. My 1st was a 2001 Ext Cab 4X4 5 speed (Edge Comp Box, CAI, 4" exhaust, Leveled on 35's). It would get 16-18MPG in the City & 21+ on the highway.. I now have a 2005 CCSB 4x4 6speed (Mods Are In My Sig). This darn thing will only get 14-15MPG in the City and I've never seen it any higher than 17mpg... All these figures are hand calculated. Am I forgetting to do something to this truck or Is this normal for 3rd gen trucks???? It just pisses me off to have a 30+ Gallon Fuel Tank And Not Being Able To Drive 600 Miles On A Highway Trip :banghead: :S:

My truck is an 06 with 52,000 miles on it (almost 4 years old according to the build date). I approximately drive the truck once every two weeks. I know this cold Montana weather is hard on the batteries, especially when I don’t fire the truck up but maybe twice a month. Do must diesel truck batteries last 5years? Or should I expect a shortened life due to the truck setting?

When my buddy pulled his stocker out and hooked up his Alpine head unit, it would play but no sound came out. And Im fixing to spend $200 on a Pyle screen head unit, but now im afraid it won't work. Anyone else have the same problem as my buddy? Is there a special wiring harness to connect and aftermarket head unit into the infinity soud system? Need info quick! Thanks
