My dad had an edge with attitude in his 98.5 and he got a new truck. so will i be able to take his programmer and put it in my 99?

98.5 24v? then yes you should be able to swap them.

alright thats what i thought but i didnt know if it locked into the trucks vin number or something

The Juice and attitude dont vin lock. They can be moved from vehicle to vehicle without being reset. Or at least last I checked

Just make sure you select the correct model year in the menu if you havent already!
