This is...
this is great customer service... believe me larry got the bad side of adam a few times in this and was always a great guy about all of it... wanted to share it here also just to let everyone know how buisness is supposed to be handled.. ![]() Im not sure what I missed earlier on before the thread was cleaned... but as Adam said he got a set of EDM'ed 100HP 8 hole sticks from us a very short time back. The injectors were working normal and were all tested before they were sent to him and verified good. Something of an issue came up when Adam called while driving telling me that the truck just turned to the worst and started smaoking very bad as he was driving. He was within a short distance of home and drove it the last 10 miles or so and pulled the injectors. I asked him to send the injectors directly over to Cody at Industrial (These are not Industrials injectors) to have industrial inspect, clean and test the injectors to find what I expected would be the one bad injector. Cody called me up the following day to explain to me that for nozzles had cracked and 3 bodies split from the feed tube bevel to the pintle. I was floored. I immediately asked him what I would be looking at to do the repairs (The company that did the custom work on these was closed and the owner was out of the continental USA until July 1st.) so Cody tells me I would be looking at about $240 inspection/testing and $1800 in parts/labor/bench time. I was again floored. I began asking the questions as to how could this happen, and Cody was very reluctant to get involved... but suggested that the only way he could imagine a set of injectors could go from good to bad in the time frame of a few miles would be related to pressure. He suggested that something could have outright let go and allowed pressure to go through the roof and stay there, or something could have been allowing spikes in pressure that would fairly quickly beat the injectors to death. He also said that the check balls were mashed... another indication of pressure related issues. Adam asked me to get him back his OEM injector cores, and I explained to him that they had been sent in as cores the next day and were not in my posession, but on July 1st I would contact the place that I sent them to to do everything I could to make this go as well as I could at this point. The last thing I wanted was a customer hating me for something that I could help without terrible loss. So, I paid industrial the $40 per injector fee and had the broken injectors (2 are still useable) sent to my injector supplier, and I purchased the EXACT cores that just came out of Adams truck off of the injector company. He just happened to have these cores setting there in the box I shipped them in with the PO# ADAM written on the box. He never opened the tape on the box. So he took Adams injectors and shipped them UPS out to Adam today. I know that Adam had originally wanted this to be solved with immediate action and immediate results, but with the situation I had no choice but to throw the breaks on and wait for the injector company to re-open on the first and try like heck to get back to ground zero.... get adam back to a running truck with un-molested injectors that came from the factory in his truck. I did the best thing that I could. I did not want to be the guy that said "Your injectors are broke and its not my fault, so good luck with all of that." I wanted to save face and do what I could within respectable reason and try my hardest to buy myself back into good graces with Adam. I know that in a perfect world this would never have happened, but we live in a world with blown transmissions, melted pistons, dropped valves, cracked injectors, stuck injectors, blown turbos, blown head gaskets, and a whole lot more. We all risk to some degree as we play with our toys, and ask Adam... he knows.... I play and I pay. I blew an engine in my truck in November, I blew the new engine about 5 weeks ago. Today my truck again is in the garage with the engine on the stand getting ready to get 2 holes sleeved. I had 6K miles on it. I had no one to call, and no one offered me a way out. I play, I pay. I hope this is seen as a misfortunate adventure that went bad, but the pain and loss was minimized on both fronts leaving both Adam and I talking on the phone in agreeable terms and hope to one day soon meet up on the track so I can show a Dodge should really run! Honestly, Adam is a good man, and I hope he feels tha same way about me. I do my very best to treat every customer that deals with us as if I were standing on the other side of the counter, or I was on the other end of the phone. So far this has worked well for us. We do unto others as we would hope others would do unto us. Be honest, fair, and live upto our word and our promises. Larry Musgrave Discount Power Parts Hi Performance Diesel
