man that was a joke you charged me shipping! and i look on your website today and the filter i baught is the same ammount as when it was blow out priced!! WTF blow out my A$$ maybe. don't get me wrong i love the AFE stage 1 i got but i paid $202 for it with shipping and on your website it says $190 reg. price... what a joke

Jesse,

2 things.

1) You should not have been charged shipping. I just pulled your invoice and I see that you were in fact charged $12.95 shipping. No one else was during that period EXCEPT the guys that got a replacement AFE filter due to the fact that shipping cost is more than the profit on the part. You will get your $12.95 refunded back to your credit card, as it should be.

2) The price you paid for your system is a lower price than retail, and lower than our normal price. What you are seeing is the price that me, Patrick, or Ross lowered the price to on that day, and made the error of not putting that price back.

Here are some facts....
That part has a fictitional retail of $256.70
AFE has a Manufacturers Minimum Sale price of $218.19 (Our normal price).
You paid $190 (Like I said, shipping should have been nixed, and it will be when I am finished here.)
I paid $163.64 and I paid $13 shipping. I have $176 invested. You paid $14 over my cost for your intake.

On an intake like the MEGA-CANNON we were doing $100 off MAP, there was enough room in that. In your particular case, it is one of the least expensive AFE intakes and the result is that the margines are much lower...... not a lot of room to play with. You can't take $100 out of a part that has $30 profit to start with!

We looked at each intake we sold and worked it out so that each person got a great deal. Based on profit margines on the particular part purchased, that could have been a savings of $10 or a savings of $100.

Say you get your intake and something is wrong and you call me. I am going to help you and make sure that you are happy, even if that means eating the $14 profit from the sale to ship another part or do what it takes to make you happy. We dont drop the ball on our customers.

ok thank you so much. sorry i lost my head for a second! i understand that there isn't much room to work with the cheaper stuff! i guess my panties were bunched from the shipping so i just lost it all ha ha! but like i said don't get me wrong i love the intake and it works great and sounds great! and i thank you for fixing the shipping even if it is only like twelve bucks! i'm much happier now, and because your customer service is so great i will definately use you again!!! thank you
