Granted..I did not jump in and just say.. I'm ready to make biodiesel. I built a reactor, that made about 35-40 gallons at a time, and it was fabricated from 55 gallon drums and a water heater. I tore that down because I dont have the oil soruces to do 100 gallons in 2 days. So now, all I do is spend 30 minutes(in front of the machine) and I have 50 gallons of usable fuel. I have had construction workers buy these becuase they make there own fuel.. and while its being made.. they can work and earn a living. Farmers are in the same boat... any of these other machines out there will not give you anywhere close to as little up front time as this machine. Last edited by Sciulli : 03-13-2008 at 09:23 AM. |

Outside of the catlyst(NaOH or KOH) methanol/ethanol and sulfuric acid, no. You can get the oil from anypalce that handles food. I get mine from my Fire department and two local supermarkets. Just walk in tell them what your doing, tellt hem you'll take it away for free and they typically say have at it. Alot of bigger places now have there oil taken away and get paid. Rule of thumb.. if they are getting paid then its probably being used for biodiesel production.. thus its pretty good oil. Offer to pay them more.

That is true. I have not seen that.. all of the places I collect from had to pay to have there stuff taken away. All of the places that denied me are getting paid and there getting collected from the same company.. which produces biodiesel near me.
