I use Power Service in the gray bottle.

I started using it when ULSD rolled out with concerns about lubricity. I saw mpg improvements and have used it in most tanks since in my 1.9TDi and the 6.7 . The 6.2 usually eats a decent concentration of WMO. No lubricity concerns there so it never sees the additive.

Yes I use DIESEL additives and truly believe something is gained from them. DIESEL Kleen is the best and know for a fact many long haul truckers use it in their rigs. It doesnt hurt anything, but isn't miraculous either.
Just another opinion thread such as which oil do you use.

The grey bottle that you use in the summer seems to boost my mpg by about 1-1.5mpg. The winter time, white bottle, is too hard to judge accurate mpg's in my opinion. Between letting the truck warm up and the additives in the fuel, just hard to calculate.

Also after using it for a while, not as much black smoke when you push that skinny pedal hard.

I used 2 stroke oil in my 7.3 Ford, but wouldn't use it in a CR engine. The 7.3 maxed out injection PSI at about 21,000, and that was under perfect conditions. The fuel systems seemed to be more forgiving in the Fords and aren't as affected by garbage in the fuel as CR engines are; real sensitive to water, though. Fords had HPOP systems (used engine oil to start the injection cycle at the injector, which are rather beefy.) The main drawback was having to change the fuel filter more often, but the filter was super easy to change.
