I subscribe to Diesel Power, Diesel World and TDR. You guys that are asking about Diesel Builder, you're not missing much, TRUST ME. There's a new magazine out called Diesel Tech which is pretty good despite the fact that it came out about 4 months ago. There are already subscriptions available for that one.

Diesel Tech Magazine

Doh... I clicked "no..." without thinking that TDR is a magazine... but I'm not sure I'll renew... a lot of money for a quarterly magazine...

I've picked up a few issues of Diesel Power, but I don't really need any temptations to buy stuff for my truck right now... too many maintenance projects that still need to be done...

Just got my first issue of TDR, primarily because I wanted to have access to the rest of their web site.

How does everyone like the TDR magazine? I've been thinking about signing up for it for a while.

Its good to know I'm not the only one who thinks Diesel Power is a waste of paper. The ads which make up 50% of their magazine is the only thing in there really worth anything. Their reviews are just regurgitated tech info, with no comparisons or opinion. That has to be the most annoying part. Their tech articles and installs are all done by other shops, I'm pretty sure they just stand on the side lines and take the pictures, and then write a review by cutting and pasting all the tech specs from the manufacturers website. And there is no cost totals and the end of their projects or builds! Not even MSRPs.

I find a lot of American magazines are like that now anyways. Too afraid to actually form an opinion because the product they are reviewing probably has a 2 page ad in the same magazine worth big advertising bucks. I usually go to Chapters and pick up the British magazines. MUCH better written. Superbikes and Evo are a few. Of course they cost like $13 Canadian.

Subscribed to TDR to get the free Edge Juice "HOT" upgrade (normally $100.)
The magazine is OK, seems to have alot of stuff for RVs.

Diesel World was like a pamplet not a mag. and I remain unimpressed with the other mags... I just read Hot Rod and Car Craft cause they are still Loud Fast and Real....

The diesel mag. world needs to step up and stop charging so much for a tiny magazine without the variety of the tried and true Hot Rod mags....
