Low Pressure Percist

Update sense other thread for low pressure.
I have sense added a 1/2" draw staw and 1/2" fuel line, straw to filter head suction with the WS1001 144 micron filter/strainer.Got rid of the electric digital gauge Quadzilla recon that showed 14psi idle and 9/10 just smaking the throttle to the floor in neutral and went to a DiPricol gauge and same readings. What would it cost and how to go about upgrading to the external adjustable pump?
I have just the 95GPH pump 2,000 miles maybe.
Thanks Dan!

I don't see anything wrong with those readings, sound very similar to the ones I get.

Contact a FASS dealer about upgrading to the ADJ pump head. Have them call me. I would ask that it be sent in to keep your wnty in good standing.

Its very odd that the pump is dropping that low.....about the only other thing i can see is debris in the regulator ball seat.

Either way, have your dealer call me...

I know,I get the weard crap. I even put a new Bosch return pressure regulator bolt in the VP just in case it was returning too much. I thought that it was the gauge possibly but it has been changed.
Message sent.
Thanks!

Well just a update for others that might have this problem. The factory fuel filter was the issue. All I use is Fleetguard (Cummins) fuel filters. This filter only had 2,600 miles and change on it! No water in the bowl,no sedimate in the housing,Standyne in the tank,so I do not know what gives? I have been working on Diesels sense the mid 70's so I am not a rookie. It just blows my mind the trouble shooting time thinking it was other issues.I now have the 17psi idle back and 10 psi WOT. I always put a fuel pressure gauge on the pumps or on the outlet but not this one.It will get one!My 200 FASS had a taped port on the last one I installed but do not notise if this one has one?

Thanks for the update.....I know i have been guilty of assumptions in the past that have bitten me in the rear....I would have thought the same thing with a new filter. BUT a better suggestion from me might have been check prefilter pressure. Im going to file that one away for the next time. Glad we are up and running!
