Do I remove the old fuel lines?

Hey Dan,

Just installed one of your systems...LOVE IT! One question, do I remove the old fuel line or lift pump?

Thanks,

Lem

Didnt quite understand that answer.

Dan, can I remove the stock fuel filter assemly and lift pump? If so, what do I do with the electrical connections to the stock fuel filter assembly? Anything else I should know?

Thanks,

Lem

If you are removing the stock fuel filter housing, keep in mind that will need to do something about a fuel heater. The stock heater is in the housing.

Does the FASS System address this already? If I'm bypassing the filter, the stock heater isnt helping me anyways, right?

That is right. If you are not using the stock canister you do not have the heater. This is a bad thing in the colder weather.

What would be the best solution for me then?

HOW in the world did the FASS search miss this one? I guess no one used FASS until yesterday......haha....funny.....

Andy...talked to you today. AND to put it in public fomat.....yes....you can remove the stock filter houseing with the 98.5-02 Dodge kits. AND you can take out the stock lift pump...but leave the bracket to keep from leaking oil everywhere. The 03 and up, you can remove the housing, but you need to address the fuel return that runs through the filter head. Not hard....but some fittings an hose can be made to work.

Unless you are exposed to sub-zero temps 90% of the winter (Or maybe the extreme North states)....dont worry about the fuel heater....run additives when it gets cold.

Thanks a ton Dan! I did it. I also taped the sensor connectors up so that moisture wont get inside. Looks a lot cleaner and I have more room around my engine now!

Thanks again. The FASS is working out GREAT for me. Really glad I made the move.
