fass location problem

I had a 95gph pump installed at a local diesel shop and they installed the fuel line from the pump to the back of my fuel filter housing. Is this correct location? Ive seen them attach the lin on the pump. I just got a drag comp and if I get on it hard and let off or push the clutch in my truck will die, seems to me as if its not getting the pressure it needs, im lost, it dosent do it if my box is turned off but I just had the drag comp checked by edge and they said it was fine, I dont have a fuel guage but the line placement is my question. thanks, Andy PM me if you like.

I have a 150 on mine and it bypasses my factory fuel filter. goes straight to the injection pump.

The FASS goes to the CP3 or VP-44. BUT it can run though the factory filter head if wanted.

The HPFP uses the facotry filter head.

I would get some pressure readings.....can't do much without thoes but guess.

Also....try to let off a little less harsh (Better on your turbo anyways)...that is a known issue with VP44's if you let off too quickly with fueling boxes and/or injectors, the truck can die. Has nothing to do with the supply fuel, but the VP's inability to keep up with such a quick demand change.

I wouldn't use starting fluid on it unless you absoluty had to. Little won't hurt it but i've seen alot of equpiment turn to crap from people spraying them. Some of em won't even start on a warm summer morning without it.

When you let off it real quick while after under hard acceration sometimes you can air lock the injection lines and it'll cut off, you need to crack a couple injection lines at the head to blead the air out, crank it a few times then tighten em back up. It's a good idea to carry a 3/4 or 19mm wrench in the truck

I had it happen to me one time ever since I've kept a 19mm in my glove box

thats good cause I have all the tools needed to pretty much disassemble my motor in my truck at all times. lol but yeah I can see that. there has to be a way to stop this. Woodsrat suggested getting a 3/8 in line that would run from my stock filter housing to my vp, he said Id have better flow and maybe that would help. I guess i will try it. I alson need a fp guage, who has the best prices?

Does the 95 have filters on it? If it does you could try bypassing the factory filter just going straight to your vp44. If it keeps acting up. Just an idea

The issue is not a fuel feed problem....its between the VP and the injectors.....its just something you have to change your driving habits to keep from happening. Dont let off soo quick on the go pedal.
