question about fuel pressure.

i have the hpfp 95 system i believe and was wondering about my fuel pressure before i turn my truck on. when i turn the key to the start position without bumping or cranking it, my psi reads 1 and then drops to 0. once i start my truck up it jumps to say 16-18 at idle and stays. if i bump the starter it will jump to 16-18 then slowly drop back down until i start the truck. i am very pleased with the pump and fuel pressure but is starting the truck with 0-1 psi slowly killing my vp. id hate to have to bump the dang thing before every start up, would also like to know if you all received my warranty info that i send off back in december i think it was, havent heard any confirmation or anything.thanks for any help diesel dan and i love your product btw

We dont confirm wnty...but if you give me your SN i can look it up.

The VP likes to start with low pressure. That is how the ECM is programed to run the stock pump (And in this case our pump as its a slave to the ECM)

This is normal pump operation and will not hurt a thing. What you dont hear is our pump being pulsed when you are cranking the engine.....the ECM does this to lower pressure to the VP when cranking.
