Low Fuel Pressure???????

I have a 2002 2500 with a FASS system and just installed juice/w additude. The monitor says 10psi at idle and 6-7psiWOT. Is there something wrong with the juice or is it my FASS. I thought it was the filters so I changed them but no difference. At WOT it doesn't seem to run out of fuel. I am at a loss. Please help

I dont know if this is relevant to my problem but I was reading other posts so i think it might. When i put fuel in it if the pump is running the fuel just splashes back out the neck. Please help

First I would confirm that your JWAM is reading correctly. I have had on more than one occasion seen those read low. Especially under WOT. (Im not a huge fan of electric gauges)

ALSO how are you taping for fuel pressure? Did you keep your stock fuel filter in line? If that is the case, I would suggest using a fitting from one of the following places to put the tap in-line and take the filter head out of the equation:

Power By Poole Diesel Performance

Vulcan Performance Home Page

Mr. Gasket Barb Fuel Pressure Gauge Fitting - JEGS

If you have a know working mechanical gauge...i would suggest checking with that to get a confirmation of pressure.

ALso might try the 5 gallon bucket test. Basicly fill a bucket of fuel up and place your suction and return line into it. Then run the pump and see if your pressure improves or not. Then hook up the return line of the FASS back up to empty the bucket and fill your tank in the truck up.

Then we can try a few other things if the pressure is confirmed correct.

As for the fuel blowing out at you if the truck is still running when filling up, you have the older style return manifold that tapped into the Vent line of the tank for the fill neck. We updated this about 2.5 year ago to a manifold that splices into the actual neck and eliminates this scenario. The part number is RM-1002 for your year truck. Any FASS dealer can help you convert over to this newer style.

i have a 2002 also. i had a aeromotive sstreet pump that was leaking. i finally got around to putting a guage on so i could monitor the psi. well it was only putting out 6-7 psi and would drop to 5-6 wot. so i figured that it had leaked long enough to wear out. so i put a holley blackmax150 gph pump on. its supposed to have 16ish psi so i thought that would be perfect. well it gained me 2 psi ..... no i have 8-10 psi. now the kicker is my buddies 2001 has the same setup as mine and he is getting 15psi with just the holley black 140gph pump. only differnce is he is getting his psi reading at the vp44 with his EDGE and im getting my reading before the stock filter canister. his pump is "straight wired" mine is plugged into the stock harness. we both have 1/2" pickup tubes in the tanks and a industrial filter (wix) mount before the pump.
any ideas as why the difference in psi?
also another friend said he changed some return valve thing on the return side of the fuel lines. anyone know what this is ? thanks

You can unplug your edge from your VP44 and see what the attitude reads, if it is working it should show a number, can't remember what it is, I think it's 41 but not sure(call edge) I had to do this on my 01.
