Adjusting Pressure on New FASS Units
Here's one for ya Dan. I recently upgraded my old FASS 95 to one of the new FASS 150 models with the unserviceable motor. Much quieter motor by the way. I took the stock pressure spring out and put in a spring that was a little stiffer and 1/4 again longer than the stock spring. That took pressure from 15 lbs to 20 lbs. I swapped again with a spring that was 1/2 again longer (getting pretty long at this point) than the stock spring and pressure still stopped at 20 lbs. I then read somewhere that the new FASS units may have some kind of safety valve? in them that will bypass fuel to protect the motor if pressures go too high. Suppose to keep amperage draw down or something. Could this be what is keeping pressures at 20psi? If so, then I assume 20psi is DPP's max recommendation for pressure out of this motor with reliability/longevity in mind? Thanks!

Yeah, in the T-Block we have a high pressure relief. This is preset to about 22 PSI. This is to keep the motor happy if a filter was to plug up or to keep people from getting pressure too high and burning up the motors. NOW with that being said....you can keep the amps in the green to just about 30 PSI....beyond that.....you are going to shorten the life of your motor. We did not have a need to go any higher than 20 PSI a few months ago when we started the high pressure relief. Now with the new CP3 mods, we got that new EM-1002 motor (WHICH IS MASIVE!!) that can go upwards of 130 PSI and live (For up to 10,000 - 15,000 hrs) with the right setup. It will work at 30 PSI just fine....but it might shorten the life of the motor somewhat.
