Question on Fuel pressure?

Hey, when i first installed my FASS in June 07, i saw an idle reading of about 14PSI and no lower than maybe 12.5 or 13 on WOT. Ive now put about 10k miles on my FASS system and when i throttle the truck now, the needle jumps down to about 10 or 11 PSI. Also, when i first installed FASS the needle would be a smooth transition from idle to WOT and now its quick and jumpy. I have the Autometer electronic fuel pressure gauge as well as a snubber valve installed (autometer said they will not warrant an elec. sending unit without one installed). So my question is now, what is causing the drop in FP off idle and the quicker jumpier needle drops. Also, at idle and on the throttle now the needle kinda jumps around within about a 1 PSI range and is not steady. Any insight to this would be awesome. Is it time to change filters and this happens when filters get dirty?

Thanks

It seems most people replace them anywhere from 5k -10k. I do mine every 10.

the filter would plug, and thatd result in lower pressure. fass filters are fleetguard filters, and like any filter, it will clog.

that all kind of depends on how much crap is in your fuel. When I first started to use BioDiesel it cleaned my tank and lines leaving all the crud in the filters. I don't change them on an interval any more just wait till the needle dips

hmmm, well i use the best fuel in this area (proven by fuel truck driver), and i run 2 cycle and amsoil diesel concentrate.....unless the 2 cycle is clogging it up

IDK but I don't think so.

When I'm not running BioD I run #2 with 2 stroke myself. So far that has not been a problem
