Question 2 stroke and the FASS

I recently started ( last night ) adding 2 stroke engine oil to my diesel fuel in order to help protect both my FASS as well as my VP-44. Apparently many are doing this with success.

My question is about the filters. Is it safe to add?

Will it clog them up faster requiring more frequent changes?

What does Diesel Performance think about adding 2 stroke to diesel fuel?

I'm adding 1oz per gallon at fill up.

Thanks in advance !!

SHould be fine if you think about it the 2 cycle is not like a qt of oil going through the filters. it mixed with 30 to 35 gallons of fuel and it not thick as when it comes out of the bottle. Thats just how I see it but I could be wrong.

I honestly dont see anything wrong with it...but we have never done any testing on it either. What i would suggest is contacting Fleetguard and see what they say. They make our filters and are the experts on that side of the fence.

I have never seen any issues with it (My own personal truck).
