FASS 95 is in

Dan,

Thanks for answering my questions. I installed my FASS 95 system last night and it is really nice. The only problems I had were the darn push lock fittings. I used motor oil, wd-40, and a hair dryer to get them to set all the way on the yellow plastic tab, but still came up about 1/8 of a inch short. I secured the lines with 3/8 hose clamp and I seem to be in good shape. Also, the operators book made a good call about bleeding air from the fuel filter if you can't get it to prime. This is what I had to do. After that, I had the truck started about 5 minutes latter and checked for leaks, which there were none.

I still have to finish up my fuel gauge plumbing. ( I am not looking forward to running a 1/4 fuel line through the firewall). After this is complete, I will post my fuel pressure.

Last but not least, if I have the quiet pump motor, I would hate to hear the noisy pump!!!! But, you can not hear it when the motor is running and that is what is important.

Thanks again,

Joe

Good to hear....but next time, instead of a hair drier, use a Heat gun. Works TONS better.....AND bearing grease works good as well. You don’t need the hose clamps.....you got them on far enough.

Remember to drain your stock filter head or you will have residual fuel leak back on top of the tank....

I will have to add a heat gun to my tool box!!!

As far as the stock fuel head, it is gone..... The first time I drove it, I did have a little bit of fuel on the top of the tank, but it is gone now...

So far, the FASS is really nice and my truck seems to really like it allot.

Joe
