FASS 95 system questons

I was wondering if I installed a FASS 95 kit in my truck using my existing Vulcan 1/2 relo fuel lines, would this work? When I installed the kit, I cut the hard line from the fuel tank and installed a 3/8 rubber fuel line that feeds my current fuel pump.

What I really want is to keep the ability to use my current lift pump setup just incase there is a FASS failure or update. I want to carry my current lift pump in my truck and be able use it if I have a fuel pressure failure while driving. I envision disconnecting the fass system, bolting on the carter mounting plate, attaching fuel lines and power source, priming the system and drive on.

Are the fuel fittings for the FASS the same size that attach in the Carter lift pump? If so, that would be great!!

I understand that they sort of use different power sources, but I would just leave my current lift pump power feed and disconnect it from the ECM.

Any thoughts on this or concerns?

TIA,

Joe

The FASS 95 GPH should be fine for anything you want to do with your truck. The 1/2 line might have a little more recovery time for building pressure, but it will work. All you really need is 3/8's line, but if you already have the 1/2" you can adapt it.

I am not against changing my fuel lines, but I would like to retain the ability to revert to the OEM lift solution if I had too. Do you know if the OEM carter and the FASS use the same thread size to bolt in the fittings? IE,, Can I remove my current fittings and bolt them directly into the FASS? There are the 1 generation Vulcan 1/2 relo kit fittings.

TIA,

Joe

Our DIPF-1001 Fitting is set up to work with the stright threads used by the banjo bolts (On the pump or filter head). SO yes, it can be swaped rather quickly.
