Thanks for the info....
Did you make any head way pinching off the return line? the the noise and fluctuations stop?

Ok. On my F.P. reading on my Edge yesterday I got on it prety hard. I normaly see around 14-16 PSI. I looked in my records on the edge yesterday after the run & it droped to 10 PSI. Anything to worrie about or is that still more than enuff fuel going to the VP44?

Well its lower than i would like to see on our pumps under load...you are not anywhere near danger level and have plenty of fuel. As with any fuel pressure issue (Especally with the Juice WAM) we need to double check to see if the gauge is telling the truth or not.....i would suggest finding a mechanical gauge and see what it does.....

NOW if the FASS is not making any weird noises, i would defiantly check your gauge. The VP 44 does put off alot of pulses into the inlet line. You will need some sort of a snubber to absorb these pulses. It can be as simple as an inline needle valve like i have or an actual snubber that Auto Meter makes.

Info on Auto Meter Snubber...
Thanks for the info, I restricted the return line and sure enough the pressure jumped right up to 12 psi, however pressure is still erratic just at higher psi. The erratic pressures are timed with the fass pump noises. Could this still be problemwith ball and spring? Can they be checked and or cleaned?

You can pull the ball and spring out and check them...might compress the spring a few times and then pull on it (Do not stretch it....just to stress it slightly...should be able to do with out deforming the spring). Debris is normally not an issue due to the return being on the clean side of the filter.

To access the spring and ball, follow the return line to the FASS. Disconnect the fitting at the end of the line with a 7/8" wrench. Then with the same wrench, take the fitting that the line was attached to on the pump off to gain access to the ball and spring. Reverse to reinstall. If it takes you longer than 2 mins to get to the ball and spring (Pending on how you have it mounted)...you are doing something wrong! haha...
