smokin diesel... i need your help

i am looking for a good wax for a dark colored truck and you seem to be the man with the answers and where can i get it. i need something to take out light scratches, minor swirls, and the road film. i was my truck once a week so it stays pretty clean. and i would also like to know what kind of soap you use to wash yours.. it looks awesome.

oh and one more thing.. i started debadging it and i want to take the body molding stripes off but the previous owner but some ugly molding on it and i was wondering if you had any ideas on how do remove it... he is a pic of the molding..'

dont mind the trailer loaded with junk iron in the behind the truck... that was my savings fund... 9,980 lbs of iron and got right a $1,000.. not to bad.

Hey there buddy ...

Ok ... Well do this in order.

Soap: I use DP Xtreme Foam, Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo & Wolfgang Auto Bathe. I also use a Foam Gun and a rinse bucket w/ a gritguard.

As for what your wanting to do. NO wax will remove light swirls, scratches, etc. They will only temportarly hide them, by filling them with oils. If you want to remove them, you will need to polish the truck with a compound. That a whole other discussion in itself

As for my wax recommendation ... It all depends on what you want to spend. I have started using Wolfgangs new Estate Fusion Wax ... which I have absoultly fell in LOVE with. BUT it has a $200 price tag for 8 oz.

Now as far as your molding goes ... take a heatgun/hairdryer ... heat the molding up, and take fishing line, and carefully work through the glue. You are going to have residue left over. Take goo-gone/wd-40 to remove, then clay the area, and finish up with wax

Claybar. Its a bar of clay that is used to remove all of the embedding contaiminets in your clear coat, and give you a truly smooth surface
