Try using a razor blade, I use a razor blade scraper, Just be very carefull hold @ 45 degree angle. I have removed just about every thing off of windows with a razor just be carefull not to scratch the window or cut your self.

I've used DW-40 to remove sap in the past from clothes, hands tools, etc.. You have to let it soak in for a while. try not to get it on your paint. It will soak into the paint and if you repaint it wil orange peel and/or fisheye. Then you'll have to wash the windows thoughly.

as been stated, a razor blade. I even use it to remove sap from paint. as long as you keep it lubricated and the proper angle it wont harm paint either. but for glass you dont have anything to worry about except maybe be a little careful on the windsheild.

Removing sap off my windows.
Before using the single edge razor blade, and while you're using it, spray the area with a mild detergent solution in a spray bottle. This lubricates the cutting edge so it slides along the glass easier and slices through the sap easier, plus it prevents sap buildup on the cutting edge so you don't inadvertently spread the sap around, necessitating further clean up effort.

With the razorblade, the best advice I have for you is to hold the blade with a pair of Vice Grips, Ice cut myself on the back of the blade before scraping the tint off my mustang.

Rubbing alcohol works great for removing tree sap.

If you had access to a pressure washer that could heat the water, that works as well. I have had success with mine when I used to detail cars and trucks.
