SmokinDiesel.... Might as well change his name to Detailing Guru or something similar...

Wish you could have been around to get the horrendous swirls out of my old jetta. I took it to a shop and all they did was turn em into bigger swirls. I got much better results just using Zymol.

What kind of cleaning are you looking to do? I use the Turtle wax clear "synthetic" was and Their "synthetic wax". Its a clear liquid. i'm gonna try that Lucas slick mist next see how it goes. For the wheel wells i just spray tire foam...let it get all sappy, then SMEAR it in the plastic and looks brand new. We all have our own prefrences. Just...wash it. lol. If you keep up with it it only takes you 20 mins to clean it and it looks like you spent hours.

FWIW, per his advice I went and bought a bunch of Pinnacle stuff...not worth the cost, IMO. The leather cleaner/protectant is noisy and "slick"....the plastic cleaner (or whatever it is) is nice but kind of greasy feeling...though not nearly as bad as Armorall

x's 2. What kind of products do you need? IMO, Meguiars has some pretty good OTC stuff. Im not a big megs fan, but if I had to buy somthing otc, I wouldnt look much further than megs.

As far as Pinnacle vinyl protectant being slick/greasy feeling....I dont really think you are going to find any kind of vinyl protectant/dressing that doesnt have somewhat of a greasy feel to it. Pinnacle is water-based so its not going to be as greasy as say Armor all, but it will still have some essential oils in it to get that "Matte" finish.

As far as thier leather conditioner goes...I actually love the stuff. Im sure there is better stuff out there, but for me it works well. If you think Pinnacle's Leather cond. has somewhat of a slick feel to it, try an OTC conditioner...

I think Meguiars is hard to beat for over the counter products. I use the spray detailer after about every wash and unless I park under a tree or get something on the paint, the detailer alone keeps it in good shape.

Inside, I use a California Duster and worst case, a damp rag. The "shine in a bottle" stuff like Armorall will ruin an interior IMO.

For a wax, I would go with Megs NXT 2.0. Ive not used it personally so I cannot give my opinion but I hear a lot of great reviews on alot of different forums about that product. Keep in mind, NXT is a synthetic so its not going to produce the warm glow that a carnauba will, but in most cases, it will last longer and give you paint better protection against the elements.

As for a megs interior product...i'll leave that up to the Megs guys to touch on.

Oh, and you're gonna like the Megs claybar...Nice OTC stuff IMHO!!

Sure I can! ... I use Pinnacle mostly for interiors, LSP (last step process), and QD.

As far as OTC brands, Look into Megs & Mothers ... Thats as good as your going to get as far as OTC goes.

Wow ... Not worth the cost? ... What "exactly" are you using?

Everyone has a certain "look" that they are going after, but Pinnacle's interior stuff is TOP NOTCH. As a detailer, there products are very hard to beat.

The "slickness" of the cleaner/conditioner is just that ... Conditioner. Its supposed to be like that. Leather needs to be conditioned to keep quality, and look its best. Were you using the combo cleaner/condition in the spray? ... Thats great for quick inbetween full details ... but for all out, use the cleaner ... then the actual paste conditioner.

As far as the "greasy" goes ... Thats the best stuff you will ever come across. It has UV protectant, natural oils, does NOT attract dust, and it one of the most "matte" finishes you will ever find. ... Maybe you applied too much, as this is a common mistake
