clean mirrors w/o water spots

how do i get those water spots off my side mirrors..it seems that they never come off, and is there any way to keep the water from sticking to them so i can actually see out of um when its raining and im trying to drive

i agree 100% i just cleaned my mirrors side windows and windshield and applied rainx 2 coats worth and man i wish i had done it months ago. it works wonders. very good stuff i think

^_^ rainX is like amazing.We got a bottle of it for free when we were getting gas for our boat like 2 summers ago and we put it on the windows of the boat and it worked wonders.Went back and bought some and put it on all the cars/trucks and have recommended it ever sense.

A slice of lemon rubbed on the mirror will remove the mineral deposits that make the spot.

0000 steelwool then rainX. I know it works great on windshields.

that steel wool, does it work on the mirrors though wont it scratch it?

id test it on your wifes car first j/k honestly never tried it on mirrors thats why i only said know it works on windshield. for only water spots try lemon or vinegar.

Do you wash your truck at the car-wash? If so, do you use the "spot free" on the mirrors? It's the last thing I spot free, seems to be kinda hard to remember to sorta turn away from the truck and spray them since you usually are facing the truck while you are washing it .


Never heard of lemon on mirrors, that is pretty neat. Does it take off those orangish/brownish finger mark looking stains on the mirrors?

And you could prolly test the steel wool in your bathroom.
