engine wash (gunk)???

my truck has over 200000 miles on it now,and i need to wash the engine (its a little dusty) i know how to wash a gas engine (cover distributer and carb) but is there anything i need to cover up or keep water out of on my 03 cummins??? can i use gunk and go to the car wash, or do i need to use lower presure like a home water hose?

I just use the Gunk and the preshur wash at the car wash seems to work well

The last time I used a solvent based degreaser, my AC stunk for two weeks. Can't remember if it was Gunk or not. Simple Green works real well. I use the pressure washer, but keep the wand pretty far away so I'm not blasting water into electrical components and the like.

Try Spray-9 works great. Try not to get the wand to close, some can cut through rubber.

I would cover the alternator for sure.....and don't shoot the fuse box or any electrical connections directly....
