Are you talking about get emblems off......on my bikes I use fishing line/dental floss and saw back and forth to get the emblem off and as much of the tape off.....to remove the rest of the tape and adhesive, I use goo gone or even WD-40....then wash and wax that spot to remove the glue remover

Use a hairdryer to heat the tape up, and fishing line carefully under neith it to remove.

Goo Gone to take off any excess

Clay the area after wards to remove any contaminates

(I then would proceed to polish the paint, then use a final polish, followed by a LSP ... but ... everyone knows by know ... Im a little crazy and go over board sometimes when it comes to detailing)

I have personally never seen the NEED for one. IMO its a good way to induce micro-marring/light swirls

Id rather take a little more work to get it off, then way more work correcting paint that did not need it in the first place.

Anything I do, I always use the least abrasive meathod first
