Helping hand while washing...

Didn't realize this until I washed my dads truck at his house:I have a water purifier at my house and he doesn't.What a difference a water softener makes when washing a truck. The water sheds off so nice and drying it is a breeze.

well the hard water will create hard water deposits (sometimes causing paint etching) from having large amounts of whatever is in it. Be sure that if washing with hard water, you completely dry the vehicle as SOON as you can to minimize those water "spots" that you can never seem to get rid of.

Soft water makes a huge difference in washing almost anything, clothes, cars, anything you mix water with soap. I washed my truck for the first time with soft water about 3 weeks ago and i'll never go back to hard again.

Yeah we have bad calcium round here. Stupid wells lol. J/K Well water tastes soo must better than city. Its crazy. I never thought about it but a purifier would probably help alot. I dont get spots cause i have one of those drying towels that wicks up the water like a sponge. Not even gonna attempt to spell it lol

Paint is Paint ... And still needs the same care no matter the color. White etchs, micro-marrs, swirls, etc just like any other color. Just because it isn't as noticable, does not mean that its not there. I treat ALL colors the same

Yup, but i'm a firm believer in the "if you ignore it, it will go away" principle.

Thanks for the tips
