Does this seem right?

I have an 03 2500 auto hd regular cab lwb 4x4 w/ ho engine, 3.73 gears. I now have Bully Dog Triple Dog in Crazy Larry mode, BD-Autoloc, BD-Exhaust Brake, BD-Cool Down Timer, HTB2-62/12 Turbo, Fass 150/150, stock injectors.

Launching in 4x2 w/o powerbraking I get 13.99 @ 91mph. I do smoke the tires and I realize that is a factor but how much, is my et normal for what I am running? Reaction time is not a factor.

I don't have a clue since we don't have a track here and my outlook only reads 0-60 and 1/4 et's

I would think that if your outlook is using your odometer for the 1/4 by spinning your tires you are shorting yourself a few feet. Try a 4X4 launch and see if there is any difference.

I just launched it in 4x4 & shifted out when it hit 2nd. Got a 13.91 @ 91mph. I talked to Dave at Hi Tech Turbos and he explained why my et is a little slower. The HTB2 62/12 spools a little slower at bottom end but faster at upper end because of the 12cm exh housing vs. the stock turbo with 9cm exh housing. I went with the 62 so when I tow I won't have the surgeing I would with a 71 series. So, I guess I sacrificed a little et for towing if I understand it all correctly. She dumps only a little puff of black on take off compared to a lot before so it is burning the fuel more efficiently.

Dont worry about shifting your truck out of 4x4,, it isnt coming out anyways..... I have heard from other people that the outlook monitor isnt very accurate,, but I dont have any personal experience with that

Kevin

That turbo should light up immediatly.. that is a small towing turbo,, you shouldnt have any lag whatsoever

Your exhaust brake, does it make any different sound while it works. I dont know anything about them except for on semis. Is it the same functions? Tell me the process if you dont mind. You can PM me if you like. Thank you.

Sorry i messed up the quote on the above.

It doesn't seem to be as loud as a semi but I am in the cab and it is smaller diameter exh than semi. There is one annoying thing about it; the air compressor kicks on for a little bit, almost everytime I let off the throttle. I called Pure Diesel Power (who I bought it from) and he told me that was nornal. It's so annoying because it mounts on the right fender up close to the firewall It works great though and that's the important thing.

A Big Truck brake uses the exhaust valves. The exhaust brake for our truck's shut's down the exhaust flow into the downpipe, 2 very different system's. :thumbsup

If we could get the same sound as them, I'd have one in a minute.
