Question pullin hitches

im gonna do my first truck pull wit my truck wha kind of hitch do i need to be able to fit the hook and if i need to get one where can i find them thanks

Pulling Hitch Homemade

Here's nice one with plenty of adjustment for different heights. Different places run different heights.

What size material did you use?

Looks like CTD03 made it out off 2x2 square bar stock, with some gusseting on the top and bottom. Poke a few holes in it for the clevis, and you're set!

For some reason I dont think you just "poke" holes thru 2x2 bar stock, but gotcha.

I do. But I work in a machine shop with BIG tools. Sorry. I'm just use to our tooling! We've got a lathe big enough to turn a crankshaft that's 20' long with a 3' throw with a weight of over 100,000lbs!

It would be really nice to have tools like that at my dispose, but unfortunatly I have to use a hillbilly drill press, meaning my arm and a vsr drill. :

if you guys set your truck up to pull make the hitch for the height where you pull, pretty much everywhere ive ever pulled its been 26in from ground to hooking point.. with 33" tires on my 3500 with the springs clamped and 500 pounds hanging up front mine is 2.2 solid with a piece of 2x3 on top the a 3.5id ring that is 1" thick... ill take pics and post them tomorrow night !

btw this is with the back tire air psi at 30 and the front at 26
