Quick bump stop ?

Is it better to just space the stock rubber one down or should I build it with solid pipe

Thanks: Steve

make it a solid piece with just enough room to slide the block under it

A buddy of mine used 4 inch boxsteel in stock place and mounted stock bumps to the bottom. Truck could only squat like 2 inches.

Did he have them touching the axle or did he leave a 1" gap

And how much do the stock rubber ones compress

What i did on my set up was bolt the stock rubber piece to an adjustable tubing bump stop so I can have the 1" space if need but if not then jack the back up the truck up and run solid. I cut the rubber ones in half, the reason I run the rubber ones on it and cut like that is it doesnt compress much but the rubber cushion in there keeps the truck from bouncing and hopping, I have not had one problem with my truck bouncing or hopping, but it seems the guys with the metal on metal have the hopping and bouncing issues.
