pulling truck set ups??

Ok i have been building my truck for a while now and am getting ready to put the motor in it. My question is what can i do to the drive train to make it hold up? I have a dana 80 in the rear, its a standard cab long bed so the drive shaft is one peice. But i dont think it will hold very long, so what can i do to make it better? Also the truck has a 6 inch lift on it, is that going to be a big no no or is it going to be acceptable? I am buildiong it to do fairs and stuff like that but would like to get competative in the sanctioned stuff also. What do you guys recomend me to do from here? Thanks.

first off the lift is going to cause it to bounce

take the lift off

2" of suspension travel is allowed you going to need stop

traction bars are a must

find way to get your truck to weight as close class weight as possible

get drive shaft loops make your own there easy

run 33" tires bfg AT they seem to do best on any kinda track

the worst thing you have going is your lift

sorry to tell ya that

you can have more if need to

if you would like but pretty much you don't want your suspension to move at all so i would say you can block it

the rule are off of full pull productions
this is the organization i am building my truck for in PA

but most of the pulling rules i have looked up are very similar

Loose the lift.

Upgrade the rear driveline to 1480 series universal and yokes and then upgrade the front to the 1410's.

Solid rear suspension if allowed.

I am not sure if napa sells them, i bought some but cant remember where i got it from. If you do it you have to get your drive shafts modified to accept the bigger u-joints. So try a local driveshaft shop.
