pulling with a CR auto?

i've got an 06 mega cab what do u guys with autos do? 4lo 4hi? drive with od locked out? i came from the duramax world and efilive... dodges are all new to me any help would be appreciated. i use to pull all the time but i could program the tranny to do what i wanted behind a 860hp 2.8 duramax. but im in the dodge world and wanna go back to 2.8 give the knowledge to get there thanks guys.

what is so great about the scheid guys?? I can get the same parts that they run just cheaper . I have built 2 Big block gas motors and 1 unlimited p-pumped 24v motor for pulling trucks and all of them dynoed over 1,000 hp.

Pville, I didn't know you sold the dmax and went dodge. You should be just fine in the 2.8 class with a common rail dodge. With EFIlive in the testing stages for CTD and eventually the release of rpm tables you be fine. The only reason IMO that the 12 valves are so competitve is RPM's. Either limit there RPM's or run the same revs that they are and they are not any farther ahead than anything else. IMO once the RPM thing gets taken care of for the common rail dodges they will be the king no if ands or buts about it.

i found until i hit certain hp range i couldnt turn the tires good enough in 3rd..so i did tow haul on and put in 2nd on the floor...high rpm's but puts me down the track..i have tired 3rd but seems to fall on its face
