what does it take 3.0
what does it take to be competitive in the 3.0 or 2.8 class. was thinking about pulling off the twins and turning it into a more serious puller. internal mods are studs, head work by floor it, valve springs, stage 3 pump, flux 4 injectors, helix cam, bd intercooler, full goerend trans, 3.73 gears. would it still be capable of towing a 32' fifth wheel or 20,000#s of water and chemicals for sprayer? snow plowing? i know im probably asking a lot but its what i use the truck for know and until i can buy another work truck its what i need

i assume you have a CR? where you live, to run 3.0, a scheid or haisley built truck... even to run 2.8 just change your turbos & then you will be really pushing it with no o-rings or fire rings. and towing, i doubt you could keep pistons in it with that set up. sorry, glad to see people taking intrest in the sport though.

Dont pull the twins off if you still use it on the street, you'll hate a big single once you've had twins

Hey Tim i missed this thread. I cant remeber how far north you are but the mpa pullers have a 3.0/twin class. With a large single your not goin to be able to tow anymore. Have you pulled your truck much after the jefferson pull? I was curious if you got it to hook an better and if you have tried a tc lock up switch to see if that helped. You could just leave your truck as is and get another one and build up. In iowa it doesnt take much to be competitive an any class my old hx35 keep me out front many times this summer. Are you coming down for the dyno day? Kyle

Check fantasys website for this years rules. It has been brought up they are looking to drop the 3.2 twins to a 3.0 open driveline. Where do you live in Iowa? Also check with the ecitpa. They have a unlimited single but 1 ton drive line
