If you two want to continue the banter, take it to the PM's and keep it off the forums.

then why do you own a diesel truck if you dont haul or tow anything??
Well, I dont haul or tow anything with mine either.
And I got a B/W goosneck in mine too.
Now Ill be honest, my wife and I were talking about getting a 5th wheel and being whats called full timers.
But that plan got changed. But that was the plan, so when I came across my truck, I thought it was a good deal so I bought it. Kinda plannin ahead.
Oh well.
So now I got this big truck, and really dont need it.
Id love to come across someone needing a truck this size who would want to trade for a 3/4 diesel.
Id also like to see the manufacturers come out with a half ton diesel. I would be in the market for one for sure.
4 cylinder or 8? I dunno, why not a small 6?

Ladies and gentleman, Cummins isnt leaving the Dodge HD's for awhile. I have worked for Dodge for the last 8 years and with the current economic situation, everyones ties are a little tense. Dodge knows that the Cummins is the reason most people buy a Dodge 2500 or 3500 to begin with and dont count on the 1500's not getting a Cummins in the future. They will be pricey, but worth the money for the kind of gas mileage they are predicted to get. One last thing, Ford does not own Cummins, they used to own a small percentage of them and thats why they could use them in the F-650's and what not.

Rumor is , that Chrysler may go with a Fiat diesel in the 1500 Ram ? If they do, we will get to see if the Fiat diesel is good as the cummins, no other info on what Fiat diesel it could be , or when ? It could be soon ? because diesel engines in vehicles under 8500 lbs GVW don't need to be Certified a lone, but in/and with the vehicle . ...Note: under 8500 lbs it a passenger car by law .

[quote]I got excited for a minute that we might be seeing a Cummins in something else. I wish Chrysler would can them so I can see them in a Ford [quote] Why would you say that if they get put into a ford then WTF we will have to buy one of the biggest pos trucks made. even though dodge has issues I would never own a ford over a dodge just because of the reputaion and the stupid crap that ord puts on their trucks WHO in the hell needs a man step.
