cummins rat rod project

well i finally got all my ducks in a row to at least start my project. i've got a 1950 international harvester L110 that i'm going to be using the cab and bed but running open wheels in the front, i wanted to run a sheet metal bed and have open front and rear wheels but i got warned that if i don't use the bed w/ the tire on the side i'll be killed lol.

plans are to leave the cab and bed unmolested and rusty, use the stock solid axle up front and for now a rear from an 01 suburban, at least till i blow that up. still undecided if i'm going to run a hood or not yet. 2x3 3/16" wall chassis and run either coilovers or airbags front and rear.

the motor is a 1st gen w/ 110k miles. plans are for a mild twin set up, hx40 over ht3b or s400, not sure which yet, it'll be a single for a while though. some 6x18s injectors and head studs. i want to do a p-pump conversion down the road $$ permitting. 01 ford 7.3 intercooler and some sort of radiator w/ electric fans and BD exhaust manifold. oh and stack either straight out of the turbo or side pipes or stacks...idk soo many choices. goal is to at least have it driveable so i can bring it to spring fling next year. enough talk here are a few pics to hold yall over.

yea i saw it, that thing was a 4bt dog though. i plan on going a bit more extreme than that . it was cool though. the original plan for this truck was for it to be 4wd and lifted on 37s but i got a great deal on the cummins so... rat rod it is.

I like it.
My dream project would, if I had nothing but money to burn would be a 1934-37 Dodge truck grafted on top of the running chassis of a 2007-2009 Dodge/Cummins retaining the original VIN of course. ha ha
Done up as a show piece of Polished Aluminum and High Gloss Paint.
Custom the interior to have all the modern toys in a simulated old body.
Not quite a restoration more of the memory version of what was with the feel of new.
No Chrome or Excessively High Polish
Quick Glance a very nice 1934 Dodge
Second look what was that, and it did not sound right, 5 inch TBE exhaust with a stealth style muffler which allows power but hides the Wolf under the Sheep Blanket. ha ha

started making some progress on the motor, i got a cat turbo off of scott (white99) that i'm gonna use as the bottom charger for now. i made some room in my garage so i can start on the body this weekend. i took the trans cooler off and all the coolant lines so i can start mocking up the twin set up. i ordered studs so they should be in next week or so along w/ a new head gasket. question though, can i just plug the lines that came out of the trans to the cooler?
