Link didn't work and now I'm curious to see what it was... I know the C&D fabworks made a pretty cool crew cab truck - but I had nothing to do with it - other than say the glass is UGLY and they should have kept the 70's front end

Naw - that C&D truck is and "old" build now. It's been done for a few years. Those guys are about an hour from me and do some very nice work. They have an old bumpside Ford that they built that is awesome as well. It races a bunch and gets the crap beat out of it and it just keeps going. I think there are pics on the site - they call it the "corpse grinder"

Pics should be a couple pages back in this thread - but here is a link to the photobucket 74 Ford F-100 Supercab pictures by ChaseTruck754 - Photobucket The truck is in the Vegas area at the moment. I am having molds made for custom, 5" flare front fenders so it's at the fiberglass shop. Having it out there keeps me from messing with it as I am really trying to force myself to get the crew running before I tear into that one. I got it and threw the lift and 35's on it to get the ride height good for fenders, but it will sit like that until the crew is running. Once the crew is drivable it's "game on" for the supercab and I'm gonna go nuts on it for a bit. 1st thing is taking out the rubber body mounts and replacing them with aluminum "pucks". Gonna use these for a slight body drop and then to make the body mounted rigid to the frame for when I cage it and connect to the frame. I looked and I can only drop the body 1/2" or so before it is resting on the frame - but I am going to do that to keep it as low as possible. The it's time to throw a 351w and c6 in it then make a tubular core support and go to town. Ok -I'm all excited and rambling just thinking about it. I need to get the crew rolling so I can get back to messing with that

D'oh - my thread was on page 2 - that means I have not been working on this thing enough recently ![]() I did some work the night before last and then last night. Not a ton - but I got back to work on finishing up my spring hanger for the front now that I've pretty much finished cutting up that bronco. Here's what I did the other night that I forgot to post I got all the holes drilled last night and got both sides tacked on. ![]() ![]() I didn't get as much done as I wanted last night because a buddy came over to the shop and we spent more time fartin around and talking - but I did lay some beads down. ![]()

I'm curious about the teardrop in the bracket? Is there something going on later or is it simply a quirky result of optomizing contact area in the the welds?

Just the shape that came to be as I was messing with both the largest "pocket" I could cut out and aesthetics. It started life as a circle and evolved! Possibly because it looked like I had "disney" plates there with the 3 circles...
