1984 Chevy K20 Cummins In Progress

I have been working on this conversion for about 3 weeks. This truck is my youngest brother's truck that we started to restore back in March 07. He wanted to have it done by the time he graduated high school, back in May 08, but it didn't happen. Then he left for Marine boot camp in June, and needless to say it still didn't get done. He always wanted a diesel truck but couldn't afford one. He always had a job but couldn't work many hours due to school and sports, and band. He always drove mine and my dad's to school or what ever. So I decided I was going to try to get it finished up for him for when he comes back from boot camp. Then I scored another 12v and found an adapter plate. I happened to have a ZF5 ford trans and the rest is history. LOL It isn't running as of yet, but is close. I have it in the body shop right now. After it is painted I will get it fired up and then the drive shafts and t-case are next. I don't think it will be road worthy when he gets back, but he will be back for 2 weeks and hopefully we can get it done while he is home. This truck has drained my wallet in a bad way, so I can't wait to see it closer to one piece. Like I mentioned, this was a frame off. We had to replace all brake lines, run all new fuel lines, and on and on. Hopefully it will get painted this Monday. I leave to go out to Ca to watch him graduate from boot camp on Wednesday so it will be a busy first part of the week for sure. Man what a big project, again. LOL

Here is the BBC that was in it.

Here is it's first time outside in fresh air and sun light with most body panels attatched in over a year! LOL

Now that's a nice truck! Swap a D60 in the front and you're all set!

I pulled in the Pro diesel class and in the lottery class. It had to be around 6pm or later for the first hook. Both times blew a cac boot and only made it about half track or so.
