If your objective it to say that you have an SRT-10 with a Cummins, go for it. Just words of warning... I helped my brother swap an LS-1 into his S10 truck and ended up with >$20K wrapped up in it (not including the cost of the truck). If I was to venture a guess I would say that between buying and moding the engine (you aren't going to want a stock Cummins in an SRT-10) and all of the chassis mods necessary to handle the weight and torque you will be looking at $30-$40K not including your original truck cost. I bet you could sell your truck, buy a 2WD 2500 Cummins, add some SRT-10 "stuff" and drop it on some 22's and have one bad-a$$ truck for almost half the cost. JMHO.

I just thought about that also your stock axle isn't going to hold u to the torue your at you will need a really buil Ford 9inch or Dana 80 so on so on but your stock isn't going to hold. just sell your truck and buy a 2wd Cummins and make it look like a SRT/10 it will be easier and less digging into the wallet. Which means more money for mods.

Not to be one in the crowd, but why not keep the SRT10 as a weekend driver, then buy an 03-04 5.9 the cost would be more upfront but you would save money in fuel every day, AND you would have 2 vehicles.

Go for it! The 1500 chassis will handle the power just fine... unless you get crazy with it. Upgrade the driveline for reliability and the front springs for extra couple hundred pounds of weight. I have seen 5.9's put in lesser chassis again and again successfully... and without crazy mods to handle the extra weight and torque! And good luck with it! Personally I would rather have a real SRT w/Cummins then a poser look a like!
