Do the swap, don't do the swap.

I'd think CR motors are as easy to swap as a 12V. Like someone said, there's really only 3 wires that are needed to make it run. I'm not sure what extra you'd need with a CR that you don't do with the 12V. The extra wiring I've had to do (inputs for the PCS mainly) would still need to be done, no matter the engine. Use the Dodge AC compressor, just change the connector and let the Ford harness controll it. I'd say go with a BTS 4R100 for a trans too.

Figure on about $8-$10K for conversion to a bone stock engine. Mods are up to you. You'll be able to sell your 6.0 and any hi performance parts you have for it as well to offset the cost of the conversion.
