You might pass emissions for the 1991 laws, but not the 2003 laws which applies for the truck. If I were in your situation I would definitely try to sell the 91 complete and find a good used cr to put back in the 03. You are going to have to spend some money either way and I would just put it towards the cr and be done with it.

looks like a guy from tdr swapped a
98 model 12v into a 99 24v fitment.
may have some corresponding info.. ?

sounds like a worthy swap, would waiting for a for a manual 3rd gen with blown motor be an option
