I couldn't post them on this site said they were to big or something. I have a couple pics here. Cummins 6BT / 5.9 Conversions - Cummins 4BT Forums. I think that it is under test pics of truck the username is JakeDiesel. Tell me what you think.
Will the paint is getting put off a longer than planned because funds are low, But is goin to be black, I made front and rear bumper for it the are goin to be a gun metal gray, I got black rims with a chrome beed lock (fake).
Think about black chrome stacks, or chrome stack what you guys think.
I'm going to put a 4BT in my 1994 1500 RC/LWB... any tips, tricks, or information on how you did it and what your setup is please pass my way
Do they make an adapter plate for the 45RE to bolt right up? Or what automatics do have an adapter?
do u mean 46re
If it is bolted to the 5.9 it will bolt to the 3.9 they have the same bolt pattern.
I a diagram of the entire electrical system and when u get far enough start goin through it and figure out what u need and dont need and start splicing some wires.
If u have any ?s pass them my way and i'll try to answer them:thumbsup:
thanks for the opinions guys keep um coming i wanted to have it painted and pics up buy but money is not allowing me to do that just yet hopefully sometime in the next year.
its alot of work. did you want to go with the 3.9 or the 5.9. If u want the 5.9 your better off just buy a 2500 ext cab short bed it will actually save u money in the long run and u wont have to worry about inspection. If you went with a 3.9 to be legal u would have to get a cr 3.9 which are still pretty rare and very pricy. With ur year truck it will be a very pricy project. I dont want to discrouage u but that what it is.
ya i want to go with a 5.9, everyone keep telling me just to trade in my truck and get a diesel. But I want to keep my truck for a while.. Plus I cant afford a new truck either
WOW just found this, that has to be the perfect truck for the 4bt:thumbsup:. I am currently putting one in a 94 F250 and I would love any info you can give me on your air conditioning mount. I will be using the vac. pump like you have but there is not room to mount my AC compressor in the dodge location:confused013: Oh I chose the F250 because I had to have a truck that came with a diesel engine for smog reasons Got to love CA, Thanks for any help on this.
I lot of people just notch the cross member to make room for the ac. but my ac unit is off the v8 i took out. The pulley on the ac unit is off a 01 f650 with a 5.9 cummins in it. I made all the brakets for the vacuum and powersteering and ac. The bracket uses what would have been the front motor mount bolts and bolts on the top of the head. hope that helps
