P-pumped 24v into an 05 6.0 vortech

Anyone done this swap befor? I know the 6.0 Vortech as it sits now puts out 360ish HP. I'm pretty sure the tranny is a 4L80E? I was thinking about getting an adapter plate from the ford cummins conversion place, I'm sure the 4L80E could handle a 250hp cummins?

I have not done that swap before, but keep in mind that it is not just the horsepower that the transmission see's. The typical torque output on the 250 hp diesel will be roughly 500 foot pounds, and the 350 hp gasser will only be 330 to 370 foot pounds roughly depending on setup. At the very least you will need a good lower stall diesel converter for it, for both the strength and the much lower rpm of the cummins.
On my ford conversion i risked it and left the factory transmission in it with a tugger kit added and it only lasted a couple of thousand miles before it was slipping in o.d. almost constantly. I am currently doing the rebuild with upgrades on it right now.

Oh yeah that's true, do you know of anywhere I can can an NV4500? I was thinking about going with a 6 speed but it will be a daily driver and never tow anything

The NV4500's are out there, i would check cl or your favorite local yard. When i was looking for one, they were more money than doing the rebuild to my auto so i stuck with it.

Now what about a transfer case? I think the rear axle can hold up, should I get a built 4L80E and a built transfer case to hold the power or go with the 47re or nv4500 and the transfer case dodge uses? I don't know the transfer case model numbers
