Great rig!!!!!!! Totally agree with putting in the cummins. My last 78 regular cab with a 400 horse 400c in it was fun to drive but at 6-8 miles per gallon on premium convinced me to go with a diesel powered crew.

It was either custom made by a guy like us, or it was one of the very few, mamon herrington crews made. They were typically made for railroad companies & are pretty rare.

Pre-65 Ford Crews (including this one) were mostly made by Orville Metal Specialties in Ohio for the airforce. They wear a data tag on the rear seat frame with Orville's build info. Most were 2 wheel drive and most are completely thrashed by this point.

This one was built up as a toy hauler probably in the early 90's judging by the interior motif and engine block #'s from the crate engine. I bought it out of Redding and made it a Canadian citizen but it was originally from southern California and the body (despite having some bondo-filled dents) is totally solid and very clean.

I'm starting with the conversion but eventually will follow with a period looking interior and new paint.

Here's a link to some more info posted by the previous owner when he was selling it.
