Talking 98' 24v--12v Engine swap pics

Here's recent pics of my engine swap..more to follow...it's a wiring nightmare because all the PCM plugs are different http://www.turbodieselregister.com/f...d.php?t=155927

So were did you get the engine? Junk yard or new reman? I have to find a new motor for my truck and dont realy wamt to go junkyard searching.

Lightbulb Engine

Thanks for the welcome gentlemen! The engine is a 96' 215 horse with 200,000 miles on it, i just did some routine maintenance on it because it had ALOT of oil on it, like all gaskets and seals,KDP..etc...it ran before it got pulled out of the old truck it came out of, so it's a runner for sure.It came from a salvage yard for $2500..i'd say that is a fair price for it, some places you have to watch, they want WAY too much $$ for high mileage engines ..i'll have more pics later on..see ya

93 D250, PDR Twins HX35&HT3B, 60+# boost,PDR stage 2 head w/o-rings, PDR Cam, modified VE Pump, piston style lift pump, modified 5" intake w/AFE, ATS ported manifold,DTT 89% converter, 4" RIP exhaust, modified tranny, EGT/boost/tranny/tach gauges, TPS removed, a little chrome under the hood. Mag-Hitec tranny and diff. covers. Rear sway bar. Line-x bed liner, after market seats. Single stage Water/Meth system installed. Oversized intercooler w/3" IC lines.

05 Chevy 2500 HDcrew cab 4x4, Duramax W/Allison, 17" Hummer wheels w/285-70-17 BFG's, Banks intake, ported turbo mouthpiece. Predator programmer, Autometer EGT and boost gauges.

Stan!--Hello old friend, yes it's me! I am back in California for now, long story mainly related to needing to take care of an elderly family member, i am in the Sacramento area in fact.I saw your sig awhile back and almost fainted LOL good work, remember the old Powerwagon injectors we installed into my first gen back in late 2000? ...next time i see you i will give you the whole story behind this motor project and why it was done {other than a cracked block}..take care!

YES...i am parting out the 24 valve! it's gonna get torn all the way down and sold, mostly on E-Bay...even whoever wants a spare block to mess with try and fix that crack.Let me know
