Cummins in a GMC

Alright I have a 98.5 Dodge Cummins and I want to drop it in a 1996 GMC 4x4 1 Ton Dually, Manual. that is for sale for only a few hundred bucks by a freind because it has a blown up engine (GMC go figure). Anyways the tranny is a NV4500 which I believe only needs a different bell housing. I know the parts to mate it up to the tranny are out there, right?. What about the rest of the truck? Powersteering? Mounts?

The tranny in the GMC is a NV4500? If that's the case then it should probably just bolt right up. My '99 has a NV4500.... if that's what you've really got.

Your GMC nv4500 '96 and newer is the same index pattern as the dodge standard duty nv4500, both are different than the dodge heavy duty nv4500 that is used behind the cummins and v10. I have the nv4500 booklet from Advance Adapters if you have any more questions I can look them up for you, there is alot of good info.
