Help putting a 4BT in 1979 Dodge 1/2 ton.

I just bought a 4BT and have an A518 out of a 1992 Dodge 6BT, I am newbie and need help with what motor mounts to use, also can I add an intercooler later? Thanks for your help.

cummins 5.9 motor mounts will bolt up to 3.9. yes u can use a intercooler. Search around and read what other people did, thats the best way to get info u r looking for.

you cant USE THE 5.9 MOUNTS AS THEY WILL HIT THE STARTER ON PASS SIDE..... GOTTA USE FRONT CORNER STYLE MOUNTS

What corner mounts do you mean, I am a total newbie. What mounts do I specifically need to put the 4bt in my 1979 1/2 ton. Thanks.

4bt specific mounts. Ford application as they mount engine straight up not tilted like the gm 4bt mounts, need a set ?

Wouldn't the 1st gen mts work if your using a dodge trans & motor plate?

No the 6bt engine mounts when used on a 4bt will hit the starter because of 2 less cylinders making the engine shorter.
